Simple, clean farmhouse with nice patios and a pool (we didn't use it due to the rains). The housekeeper can make delicious meals! Cosmos the resident pooch is a delightful, zen old fellow.

What impressed us even more was how easily reachable Clyde was, always available to answer questions or offer recommendations.
Speaking of the location, it was nothing short of wonderful. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, the farm stay offered a peaceful and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the breathtaking views to the fresh air, we felt completely rejuvenated during our stay.
And let's not forget the amazing food made by the cook! The meals were an absolute delight, showcasing local flavors and ingredients.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with a welcoming host, well-maintained accommodations, a stunning location, and incredible food, this is the place to be!

The farmhouse itself was spotlessly clean
and the garden was lovely - Clyde gave us a detailed tour of it at our request. The pool was an added bonus, perfect for when the weather gets warm. Food ordered from the caretaker was tasty home-cooked Maharashtrian fare, and reasonably priced.
If you're looking for a peaceful stay, not far from Mumbai, I highly recommend Shalom.

The highlight for our kids was the swimming pool - clean, private and was the perfect height. Lovely home cooked meals by the staff, customized for kids too. Our 9 year old dog felt completely at home here! Loved the stay, will definitely be back.

Shalom farm-stay is true to its name...very peaceful! It's convenient to reach as it's just off the main road, but once inside the gates, its completely cut-off from the outside... read more noise. The house was spacious and well ventilated, which was really great. The pool was quite inviting too! Since it was raining we were inside most times but could enjoy the rains from the open porch. Clyde is a good host, shared all the details for meals and local things to do. The cook/caretaker were helpful too. Enjoyed the local homecooked meals. In all we really enjoyed the quiet downtime we needed. Thank you!

Clyde is a fantastic host. He and his family really put in a lot of effort in welcoming us... read more to their home. The house is impeccably kept, very child friendly, with all the basic amenities in living areas and a fully equipped kitchen if you choose to cook, and even books and toys for the kids. If needed, caretaker Sunita is available to bring prepared breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner for extra payment.
We enjoyed walking around the well maintained farm -- to look at the various trees, and the flying insects and butterflies, lizards, the umpteen jumping frogs and the occasional crab as well -- Clyde gave a us a tour on the first day.
Of course, the highlight of the stay for the kids (and for us) was jumping in to the elegant swimming pool right in the backyard whenever they got a chance -- the caretaker took constant care of it to keep it clean of any stray leaves and twigs that fell into it. In the evenings, just as it started to get chilly, we lit up the bonfire that the caretaker set up for us in the day and enjoyed hanging out around it until later in the night.
All in all, a homestay with all the right things in place to ensure a relaxing break.
