The cottage itself was well kept and has all amenities necessary for a real getaway. No TV means you look outside, read, talk to your fellow humans, walk and introspect. Located right on the highway means Shalom is easy to find and you don't have to go hunting for your home away from home!

The attention to detail is remarkable; the farm is well-maintained, with a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs grown organically and without pesticides. Our host, Clyde, provided an enlightening tour upon our arrival. The house is also comfortable and convenient having multiple amenities like hot water, swimming pool, ample furniture.Food at Shalom was another highlight. The food was not only homemade but also tailored to our specific taste preferences..Clyde was exceptional in understanding and accommodating our needs, ensuring we received the best possible package. It was my wife’s birthday and Clyde got us this awesome cake from a local bakery. The caretaker was there most of the day, setting up bonfires in the evening. The simple, homely food was delicious. Overall a great weekend stay.

About 30 minutes walk from the house there is a love quiet riverside, if you decide to go for a walk. The house is surrounded with trees hence lot of fresh air. The house was clean and quite spacious. It did have a pool but didn’t use it as it was raining so didn’t feel the need. I enjoyed my quiet stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The hospitality and warmth extended by owner and care taker makes it a really homely experience. We went there with office colleagues and needless to say all of them totally loved it. The green space and the swimming pool is a wonderfully refreshing change from the usual hustle and bustle of metropolitan cities. Awholesome experience with yummy fresh food being cooked for every meal (both vegetarian n non-vegetarian). For a change you actually have a 🐓 as your wakeup alarm instead of the mobile ringing.
